Restaurant week is a great chance to enjoy some of the most delicious food restaurants Pittsburgh has to offer. There are multiple participating restaurants, and they all offer some something special. In many cases, prices are reduced. These restaurants usually offer a fixed-price several-course meal, allowing you to enjoy a gourmet experience without breaking the bank. Here are just a few of the participating restaurants during this year’s restaurant week.
If you choose to visit Avenue B during restaurant week, you can enjoy a multi-course dinner for just over $35. They offer a blackboard-style menu, and it is a very good idea to make reservations – particularly if you plan to dine on a weekend.
Like most of the other participating restaurants, Matteo’s offers a great deal on dinner for the week, costing just over $27. There are four choices for the first course, followed by a main course that features chicken, lamb, tuna, or noodles, and a dessert course with three different cake choices. You can also add wine flight pairings for just $15.
For Mediterranean food during Restaurant Week, visit Mediterrano. This restaurant lets you choose from one of three appetizer courses, one of three main courses with chicken, pork, or eggplant, and one of three desserts. It costs just over $25 for the entire meal.
Muddy Waters Oyster Bar
Take advantage of Restaurant Week to get some seafood at Muddy Waters Oyster Bar. You can start the meal with foie gras with truffle deviled eggs, smoked trout roe, and Fresno bacon jam. Follow this up with oyster dirty rice, pickled cranberry, smoked pork gravy, and Boudin stuffed Cornish hen. The dessert course includes maple bacon gelato, pecan pie, and blood orange caramel, and the meal is $35.
