Pittsburgh Cinema in the Park

The scene during Pittsburgh Cinema in the Park is perfect for a night out with family and friends. Get ready to sit comfortably on the big lawn in Highland Lake Park (or at many of the other parks in Pittsburgh), in your lawn chairs and on blankets with a movie glowing before you. Ypapanti Greek Food Festival

Whether you love Greek food or identify with the culture, this festival is for you! The Ypapanti Greek Food Festival is an indoor and outdoor event that features a delicious menu of classic Greek dishes, live music, and authentic Greek dancing! Transform your typical table dinner into a lively family experience! Stop by Olympia Hall from August 17 through the 20th to experience all of the exciting festivities.

Station Square Summer Jam

The Station Square Summer Jam will take you back through decades of rockin’ music and then pull you through to present times. This summer concert series includes both local and national bands that play a variety of music. This music will include 70’s style groove, modern pop, and every decade in between. This month’s dates are August 18th and 25th, with headliners The Stickers and Broadcast 90! The concerts are free and perfect for a fun night with friends! Pittsburgh Comedy Festival

The Pittsburgh Comedy Festival is an annual comedy blowout that unites thousands of revelers in the pursuit of busting a gut (metaphorically, of course). Each year, over the course of four days (August 23rd – 27th), dozens of stand-up comedians and improv acts take the stage to treat festivalgoers of all ages to a variety of great shows and skits. Attendees can also enjoy informative workshops on improv and comedy! Come to the University of Pittsburgh’s Henry Heymann Theater for a fun couple of days full of lots of laughs.

Heinz Field Kickoff and Rib Festival

The Kickoff and Rib Festival at Heinz Field is all about family! There’s food and fun for all ages. Free admission for all, with the best ribs in the country, world class entertainment, games and rides for the kids, and much more! Bring along your Steelers pride and appetite to this Pittsburgh tradition! The festival will last from August 31st to September 4th from noon to 11 P.M. at Heinz Field!
